I suspect the first thing to do is to re-download 1P5 and try again to install it. I'm unclear from your post whether you bought the Mac App Store version or the AgileBits store version so if you post again it would be helpful to know that.

Do you see any specific error message when you try to install? If so, please tell us exactly what it says. I'm a little confused by the reference to a "zip file" as I rather thought the 1P installation file is a .dmg file.

@greendragonpete: Right-click the .zip file and check your Open With setting. If it isn't decompressing properly, often it's because you've inadvertently set some 3rd party utility as the default. If you use OS X's built in Archive Utility it should work just fine — provided there isn't something wrong with OS X itself. Please let me know how it turns out! :)

    Hi @greendragonpete,

Hooray! I'm glad to hear Brenty's suggestion worked for you!

We'll be here to help if anything else comes up, but hopefully 1Password will behave perfectly from here on out. Cheers! :)
