I didn't "Delete dropbox data" on second mac. Will merging duplicate all entries?

Hi ipad is OK, but need your help with laptop merge issue.

  • Hey @mr_rd! After you changed 1Password's settings to create an OPVault rather than Agile Keychain in your Dropbox folder, you have to delete the data from Dropbox if you want to update the existing vault in your Dropbox folder. To do this, head to Preferences > Sync, select the vault, and click the Dropbox drop-down to select None. If you are not currently syncing with Dropbox, but didn't delete the data the first time, open your Dropbox folder and find the Agile Keychain file, then move it to the trash manually. Then set up sync once again on your devices by continuing to follow this guide for each platform.

Let us know if that helps get things up and running properly. :)

the issue is on my second mac, my laptop--dropbox has already sync'd the OPvault there. see pic1 & pic2 below. I accidentally didn't disconnect dropbox properly. Perhaps a full reinstall will work??

  • @mr_rd You can go ahead and merge them. If you notice a difference in items, you can always restore from a backup on your other computer. However, merging the vault should on your second Mac should not cause any issues. Let us know how it goes!
