I can't save password of a package in 1password.

Have a password protected Circus Ponies Notebook. I can't save password in 1password. Says a package. What now?

    1PW is primarily intended for passwords for web pages, not for applications.

    That said, you could put your Circus Ponies password in a 1PW secure note, and copy and paste it when needed. There are probably other similar methods of working. For instance, you could pretend to create a login (say, to Circus Ponies website) that had your chosen password.; not better than a secure note but maybe easier to find when needed. I did something like that for my Apple ID.

  • Hey @thedodger! What danco said is correct: 1Password was built for storing passwords and logins, and also stores credit cards, identities, and other useful info. If the Circus Ponies Notebook is a file on your computer that's below 5 MB, you can add it as an attachment to a Secure Note or other type of item in 1Password. This will keep it protected by your Master Password. Hope that helps!
