One Password v5.4 will no longer even launch on my Mac OS Yosemite. Please fix ASAP.

This used to work just fine until I updated yesterday, now the app will just bounce once and then stop and never launch the application anymore.

Please fix, as I use this daily.

  • Hey @BareMetal,

This may seem rather basic, but could you try restarting your computer and seeing if that fixes the issue? If not, I have some other ideas, but let's start with that. :)

    I already tried that...that was solution #1 ;-)

For what it's worth, I did find that the little icon on the top right of my screen for 1Password still works...just not the main application.

  • @BareMetal Okay well that's very good to know. Could you try reinstalling the app? First, quit the mini app in the menu bar by clicking it, unlocking your vault, clicking the gear icon, and selecting Quit 1Password mini. Now move the 1Password app in your Applications folder to the trash. Do not use an app cleaner — this will delete your data. Then re-download the app from where you purchased it. If you got it on our website, simply head to our downloads page to get a new copy. If you got it from the Mac App Store, here's how to re-download it:

    1. Launch the App Store and log in with the account you used to purchase 1Password
    2. Click the Purchases tab
    3. Click the Install button beside 1Password

Once you have re-installed the app, open it and see if things are up and running again. Let us know how that goes! :)

    That fixed it, thank you!
