My AgileBits copy isn't showing up as licensed. Help!
I've received an email with my license information, however, the app still shows as expiring. Also, I think I purchased through the app store originally, and this is a downloaded version from the store. Any help?

Have you actually applied the licence? You have to double-click on the link in the email to get the licence into 1PW. I am assuming that you have a licence for 1PW4/5 (they use the same licence FILE), not one for 1PW 3 (a licence KEY).
But if your purchased 1PW4/5 from the App Store you don't need the AgileBits version as well.

Hi @russu,
I'm sorry for any confusion about the Trial Expired message you're seeing. We have information about that here: “Trial Expired” notice (Mac)
I think I purchased through the app store originally, and this is a downloaded version from the store.
Actually, if you're seeing a message about the trial being expired, you have the AgileBits Store version installed (the Mac App Store version doesn't have a trial mode). There's a possibility you have both the AgileBits Store and Mac App Store versions of 1Password installed at the same time, but the app that is showing a message about being expired is definitely the AgileBits Store version.
If you purchased 1Password for Mac from the Mac App Store, then it sounds like you accidentally downloaded the AgileBits Store version from our website at some point. You should be able to launch the Mac App Store and check for 1Password in the Purchased section - it will show up there as long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy 1Password from the Mac App Store.
We don't have any information about Mac App Store purchases in our own system, but I was able to find an old license for you when I searched our system for the email address from your forum account. It looks like you bought a license for 1Password 2 for Mac back in 2008 (that probably shows up as a 1Password 3 for Mac license in the email you received). 1Password 5 is a paid upgrade from 1Password 3 or lower, so you won't be able to activate it with your old license code.
In case you didn't purchase 1Password from the Mac App Store, is it possible you purchased a license for 1Password 4 or 5 from our AgileBits Store with a different email address? If so, you can have your license resent to you from the "I've lost my license" section of this site.
Does that help at all? Please let us know if you're still having trouble with that, thanks!

Hi there!
Thanks for the thoughtful response!
I did sign in from my account AND I downloaded the App Store version just now. Unfortunately, that same trial version message is appearing.
Looks like deleting and reinstalling worked out. Thanks again for the help!

Hi @russu,
You're quite welcome! If you were seeing the same trial version message after downloading the Mac App Store version, you probably still had the AgileBits Store version installed (they are separate apps). It sounds like you have deleted the AgileBits Store version and everything is working in the Mac App Store version now - but if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to let us know, we're happy to help! :)
