how to migrate from 1Password 3 for Mac to 1Password 5 for Mac - need assistance.

Do I need to remove the 1Password browser extension from all internet browsers? I assume so, but I want to make sure I proceed correctly. I currently have the 1Password extension installed on Safari and Chrome for Mac.

    Yes, I'm sure that's the best thing to do to avoid future problems. See, generally, this knowledge base article:

    Hey @dancooke,

    Stephen_C's advice is spot-on if you're upgrading from 1Password 3 for Mac to a more-recent version. However, if you're just updating 1Password in-version (such as from 5.3.2 to 5.4 or even from 4.x to 5.4), you shouldn't need to delete the browser extensions, as both version 4 and 5 use the same extension(s).
