Can anyone confirm this is a bug? – 1 Password "Server" data modified
I am having trouble with the "Server" data type included by default as a type of data item in 1Password.
It's possible that the problem described below is more general and applies to other data types also.
When I created the original "Server" entry, I modified Section Titles (the bolded headings) that are included by default in a "Server" item.
I changed these Section Titles to use my own labels, instead of the default originals – such as "Admin Console".
I also add new fields, rename existing fields and change the field types (according to my needs).
Presumably this is allowable behaviour in the application, as this data is successfully saved by 1Password.
However, when I come to view this same entry on a second Mac, the two versions of the same "Server" item do not match up.
The data in the original stays the same - here's a screen capture of the correct (original) version:

The data in the synced version (synced to another Mac via Dropbox to an identical 1Password and OS setup) is different.
You can see that the fields seem to have reverted back to the Default fields.
Here's a screen capture of the incorrect version:

I also tried sharing this data using the "Share via Email" feature to the other Mac. The same problem was seen.
I am also seeing similar behaviour with other "Server" items syncing between machines.
I am trying to create a template that I can reuse (with the ability to use the template to create a new entry that I then modify).
Not only can I not do this because the template doesn't sync properly. Even if I correct each item, any new item I create also exhibits the problem.
I even re-installed 1Password on the other machine, removed all the shared dropbox items and added them again.
The problem persists.
Appreciated if the 1Password Devs can investigate and fix this. It seems like a pretty major bug.
I was unable to find a better place to post this information, so apologies if there's an official place to report bugs I have missed.

Hi @Bruce_Abel,
I'm sorry those template field names are reverting to default when you sync to your 2nd Mac! Don't worry, this is definitely the right place to report bugs. Thank you for the detailed description as well as the screenshots! It really helps us understand the problem you're experiencing.
This is actually an issue that we're aware of, and my understanding is that it happens because customizing template section field names is not supported in the Agile Keychain sync format. That's the default format for the sync file created when you enable Dropbox sync.
The good news is that there's a newer sync format we call OPVault which I believe should be able to sync those custom field names correctly. OPVault will eventually replace Agile Keychain as the default Dropbox sync format, but you can switch to it now by following the steps here: Switching to OPVault from Agile Keychain
If you switch to OPVault, please let us know how it goes and if you have any questions about the steps in that article. Thanks! :)

To be honest the chances of things going wrong (with that multi-step process) seems a bit higher than I am comfortable with.
When is an official fix for this across Windows and Mac likely to be available?
Is it likely in the next major version?

@Bruce_Abel: It's impossible to say. We'll have to find the cause first, come up with a solution, and then test it. But it will be in the release notes when it's available, so keep an eye out for updates! :)
