Chrome iCloud sync issue
I purchased 1password bundle from your website and then decided to migrate to icloud for more security. I uninstalled 1password on my mac and installed the one from the AppStore what I find now is that the chrome extension and 1password mini does not pick up the new passwords unless I launch the actual OSX 1password program - is this correct ?
1Password Version: 5.4
Extension Version: 4.4.3.90
OS Version: 10.11.1
Sync Type: iCloud
Referrer: forum-search:chrome icloud

Hi @peterbladen,
I'm sorry for the trouble! If you've correctly uninstalled the version you previously had of 1Password, you shouldn't have any difficulty with the Mac App Store version. I'm not quite sure I understand what you meant by "does not pick up the new passwords," however? Does that mean when you try to save new items in 1Password, they're not saved? Or is something else going on?

When I search for a login from within the 1password mini search bar it doesnt find the login I have to launch the full app for the mini search to find the login

Hi @peterbladen,
No, that's not correct behavior. Then again, without a closer look at your specific setup, it's hard to say what might be causing it. So let's start with the basics: how long has it been since you re-booted? We could try quitting-and-restarting Chrome, as well as 1Password, etc -- but it's probably just easier and more complete to start with a fresh system state completely by rebooting. See if that has any effect. If not - or if you've done that recently - let us know.

This happens everytime I reboot my mac and I dont save the system state a clean boot everytime, is there an option /set of instructions to do a clean uninstall and tidy up. I could then re-download the app from the app store and pick my passwords back from the icloud.

Hi @peterbladen,
Before we go that route, let's check something else first: do you have the item(s) in question set to "Never display in browser?" You can test this in a couple of ways. The first would be by simply searching for a variety of your logins, not just one or two. But a better way would be to open an item you know can't be found through searching in the Mini, click Edit, and look for the "Display" item. This should be set for most Logins to "Always," but can be set on a case-by-case basis by the user to "Never display in browser," like this:
Check if perhaps that item is set to never display, and change it back if it is.0
