Do I have to buy multiple licenses of 1password to use on my mac pro and macbook pro?

It says "1Password is licensed separately on OS X". I have a Mac pro and a macbook pro laptop. Do I have to buy a license for each computer? Or do I just buy it through the Mac app store and it will be installed on both computers?

    "Licences separately" just means that the OS X licence is separate from the iOS licence (and from Windows and Android licences).

    You have two options. Buy direct from AgileBits. The one licence works for both machines, but you have to apply the licence separately on each machine.

    The other option is to buy from the Mac App Store. In this case in the strict sense there is no such thing as a licence, you just have to download on each machine using the same Apple ID.

    If you want iCloud sync you MUST buy from the App Store as Apple don't permit iCloud sync to work on apps not bought from them. However, Dropbox sync (technically as good as iCloud) can be used on all versions.

    If you want a discount when there is a paid upgrade you must buy direct, as Apple currently have no mechanism for discounted upgrades.

    If you are completely new to 1PW, you might want to get the trial version from AgileBits (the App Store does not allow trials), and if you decide to continue then you can if necessary move to the App Store version.

    Danco pretty much covered it, but I'll add that single Mac license can be shared by up to 6 family members living in the same household on as many Macs as you have between you. More on our license requirements here.

    Mac App Store purchases can be downloaded on all your Macs with the same Apple ID, and you can also use Family Sharing to share the purchase with other Apple IDs.
