How do I sync with iCloud if I purchased 1P from Agile?
I purchase 1Password from Agile way back, do I need to repurchase it from the App store to use the iCloud feature?

Unfortunately, yes. Apple don't allow iCloud sync on apps not purchased through the App Store, and they don't provide a process for giving a discount to those who have bought direct.
You can have all sorts of reasons for preferring iCloud sync, that of course is your decision. But from a purely technical standpoint, Dropbox sync is at least as good as iCloud sync, and is used by most of the AgileBits staff.

@RKCallaway: Indeed. While only the version of 1Password from the Mac App Store supports iCloud Sync, otherwise the AgileBits Store version is identical.
If you would like to use the version of 1Password from the Mac App Store, you would either need to pay full price or wait for the next sale. Unfortunately, Apple provides no way for us (or any developer) to offer discounts or upgrade pricing on the App Store. This is true on both Mac and iOS, and it applies to all apps. It would be great if there was a way around this, but at this time there is not. Maybe Apple will change this in the future.
However, syncing with Dropbox is an excellent (and free!) choice. It's how I prefer to sync my 1Password data. And your 1Password data is end-to-end encrypted, so 1Password simply doesn't depend on the sync service to protect your data. 1Password is secure by design, not by chance.
So while you won't be able to 'switch' to the Mac App Store, that certainly isn't your only option.
