I did the instructions in switch-to-opvault/mac.html and it still makes an agile keychain.

I use 1Password many times every day and am not about to switch just because Steve Gibson exaggerates the problem of a file that happens to be in plaintext but which requires my Dropbox login. But I don't need web access to my password info, so I want to switch to OPVault. The instructions provided do not work for me, however. Do they need to be updated for the latest 1Password?

Oh, nevermind. I see now that I messed up the version number comparison. Going to get version 5 now.

Since I've been so slow to upgrade to Yosemite, 1Password's upgrade operation simply said I was up to date rather than suggesting version 5. Now apparently I must install El Capitan, since Apple is no longer offering Yosemite.

@puder: Indeed, you'll need 1Password 5 (which requires Yosemite or higher) to use OPVault. Sorry for the confusion! You can still use 1Password 5 on Yosemite. But I would encourage you to upgrade to El Capitan. I liked Yosemite, but it wasn't particularly stable. And you'll benefit from a great deal of security improvements by upgrading as well. Let m know if you have any other questions! :)
