iCloud Sync issue

Can't Sync between my MBP (master) and my wife's MBP. iCloud Drive enabled on both machines. Sync of Primary Vault enabled on master. When I access 1Password on wife's Mac, I specify that I use 1Password. On the ensuing Where's My Data window, there's no option for iCloud (the choices are Dropbox, This Mac, Another device, Restore from backup). The user account on my wife's Mac has a different Apple ID than mine. However, I've set up Family Sharing on both Macs. So, what have I done wrong?

1Password Version: 1Password Version 5.4 (540046) Mac App Store
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 10.11.1
Sync Type: iCloud (I wish)

That is the issue. Apple does not allow iCloud to sync between different Apple IDs. I'm afraid enabling family sharing won't overcome that problem.

(Incidentally, neither can you select which vault to sync when using iCloud.)

Arghh, OK. Dropbox it is, I suppose. Thanks for responding, particularly with clarity.

  • Hey @futura63! Glad to see that Stephen was able to quickly help you out there. If you ever do want to use iCloud, you'll just need to sign in with the same Apple ID on both devices. If that's simply not a choice, Dropbox will serve you well, I'm sure. :) Should you have any other questions, we're here to help out!
