A certain site asks for "User ID" rather than "User name." How do I get 1Password to respond?

Every time I go to myciti.com it asks for USER ID. How do I save the USER ID information in 1password5 and have it actually insert that information when I try to log into the myciti.com website (or any other website that has a unigue field other than "User Name."

The usual solution for problems like this is to re-create and save the login manually. Have you tried that?

That did work! Thanks! So even though the website says USER ID, the information from the USERNAME field automatically actually populates that field?

I think my answer to your question is slightly indirect, forgive me. If you manually re-create and save the login in enables 1P to learn the structure of the login page and know what is required. That's why what you have done works.

You can see what's happened by displaying the relevant login item in the main app and clicking on show web form details...which will give you an idea of what is allocated by 1P to each login field.

    Hi @pbrockway,

I'm really glad Stephen was able to help you out with that! And his explanation is correct - when 1Password saves a Login item via the 1Password extension in a web browser, it saves details about the login form fields that it uses to fill your info there again in the future.

Hopefully you're all set, but if you have more questions or need anything else, just let us know. :)
