The first point to make is that there's no such thing as a 1Password account. All your 1P data are stored locally on your machine so what you need to recover that data is either:
- a backup of your Mac; or
- a copy of the data you have sync'd to some other device previously.
If you need to post again please tell us:
- What version of 1P for Mac you were using previously
- Your OS X version now, and previously
- Whether your 1P data was ever sync'd to another device and, if so, to what and what sync method you used

Hi @srolland,
I'm sorry to hear about the issues you had with your Mac!
Stephen is correct - 1Password never sends your password data to us. By default, all your 1Password data is stored locally on your Mac. You can choose to sync an encrypted copy of your data (using an option like iCloud, Dropbox, or Wi-Fi sync), which can be used to sync with other devices that have 1Password installed. Or if you have a backup of your Mac (like a Time Machine backup, for example), your 1Password data should be saved there as well.
So, if you had synced your 1Password data to Dropbox, iCloud, and/or another device, or if you have a backup of your Mac from before you erased it, you should definitely be able to get your 1Password data back again. If you can let us know the answers to Stephen's questions, we'll have a better idea of your options. Thanks in advance! :)
