I find it very confusing and really do not need it after reading your intro and attempting to set it up.

Your post here will trigger the refund you seek , as long as your purchase was from the AgileBIts web store. If you used the same email address to make the purchase as you did to register for the forum. someone from AgileBits will be along to take care of you. If you used a different email address to make the buy, send your request for a refund from that email address to support+licenses@agilebits.com. Include a link to this thread. You'll receive an automated reply with a support ticket number. It would speed things along to post that ticket number back in this thread.
If you purchased the application from Apple at the Mac App Store, you will need to approach Apple about your refund request. AgileBits receives no information about who buys its applications from Apple. and they cannot initiate a refund there eithr. If this was your source, there will be a link in your receipt from Apple to report a problem. Start with that link to request a refund from them.
I removed your email address and telephone number to protect your privacy. You likely do not want the spam and nuisance telephone calls that posting those in a public forum like this one would attract.

Hello @cheineck,
I tried searching our records using the email address you registered with in our forums but it didn't show anything I'm afraid.
If you're positive we can't help you with using 1Password then the best way to proceed is if you can email us from the email address you purchased 1Password with and to email us at support+licenses@agilebits.com, asking for a refund.
Now it's just my personal opinion but if you have any sort of online presence at all I would strongly recommend some sort of password manager. The largest issue people really face these days is a site they use being attacked and a miscreant getting away with a database full of data that should have been more securely stored. What they love to do is see if the username/email address with password work anywhere else leaving the user to scramble, once they are informed of the leak, to replace passwords wherever else they reused the combination. The key part to the password manager is that it allows you to use strong, unique passwords at each site which helps to minimise fallout to you. Maybe 1Password isn't for you but I hope you consider something in it's stead if not us.
