I downloaded 1Password for my Mac from your website....
...not the Apple App store. Can I expect synching problems when I go and install it on my IPod and IPhone later? When the time comes, should I get it off the website?
Version 5.4.1. , Extension 4.4.3.90 running OS 10.5.5......installed on no other devices, yet.
Thanks

Hi Sword86,
Welcome to 1Password. Due to limitations imposed by Apple, 1Password from the Agilebits Store cannot sync with iCloud. No worries though, you can still sync your data between your devices using Dropbox, Wifi Sync, or folder sync. Check out the Syncing your 1Password data article to help you find the best route.

Not a big issue since I've never used ICloud, but if I decide to, I suppose I'll have to un-install 1password and download it from Apple?
Wish I knew that beforehand after spending a zillion hours setting it up.0 -
Geez....I went back to the App store trying to figure out why I installed it from the AB website in the first place.
Now I know why. The App Store does not show a version for a MacBook, but the AB site did, so I figured it was better to get it from there.
Just great.86

From the information you provided, you indicated you were running OS X Snow Leopard, which 1Password does not support. While this is probably a mistake, could you verify version of OS X you are running? Click the Apple logo on the top-left of your screen and select About this Mac.
1Password 5 requires a minimum of OS X 10.10 Yosemite, and 1Password 4 (in which iCloud syncing was first introduced) runs best on OS X 10.9 Mavericks and 10.8 Mountain Lion.
If you do decide that you want to use iCloud syncing in the future, you can uninstall the Agilebits Store version and install from the Mac App Store. The two versions can technically coexist on your system without uninstalling one,, but this is not recommended due to the potential of confusion and conflicts. You can read more about the differences between the two versions here..
To learn more about switching to the Mac App Store version, look at this article. Please note that Apple provides no way to have software trials for applications downloaded through the Mac App Store, so in order to have the 30 day trial you will need the store version.
Once you download the app store version, you should be prompted to import your existing database. However, you will need to reconfigure your settings.
If you purchased the store version, but want to go the app store version, you can contact Agilebits at support+licenses@agilebits.com to request a refund within 30 days of purchase. Include this thread for reference.
I hope this help. Let me know if you have any more questions.

My screwup.
I'm running 10.10.5
When I posted I was not able to enter the versions and extension in the boxes below (it looked like they were to go there) so when I went to put them into my post I obviously messed up.
Anyway, if I choose to go this route what one is it I download from the App Store? \When I go there I don't see a version for a MB. I only see one for an IOS, IPad or Watch. As I explained earlier, this is why I chose to download from the AB site.Thanks. I appreciate the help.

Ah, 1Password fully supports OS X 10.10 Yosemite. If you decide to update to OS X 10.11 El Capitan, this is fully supported as well.
Here is the direct link: 1Password - Mac App Store. I think you were looking in the IOS App Store which is accessible through iTunes, not on the Mac App Store - they are separate. The Mac App Store is accessible by clicking 'App Store' in Launchpad / applications folder.

Hi @Sword86,
Apple run two stores. There is the App Store on an iOS device which replicates the ability to purchase iOS apps from within iTunes on a Mac. There there is the App Store on a Mac which is better described as the Mac App Store. The former only handles iOS apps, the latter only Mac applications. So if you're interested in 1Password for Mac (Mac App Store) you will want to check out the App Store application on your Mac.
Moving from the AgileBits Store version to the Mac App Store is easy enough to do, 1Password will simply copy the vault to the location the Mac App Store version has to use, it shouldn't require any interaction from you. You will need to set up sync again but it would be reestablishing connections to existing sync data, assuming you had already set up sync of course.
Does that help at all?
