I started with a mac trial version now purchased and I can't access the vault with the master pw
I started with a trial version after hearing Charlene Johnson and Darren Natoni and your rep on Build Your Tribe Podcast. I started to use it and then got a little stuck so I stopped, then over this last weekend I got smart and purchased the app but when I went to log into the original vault I set up it won't accept my master password which I wrote down. Not sure if its due to my upgrade in Mac software to El Capiton or from the new purchase. So sorry to be a pain but I am really frustrated now. I tried the steps to move the 2BU folder onto my dest top then reboot and that still took me to the long in. Is there any way to just start fresh? A clean slate? I also put it on my iPhone 6+ as well and I have a new Mac desktop arriving this Wednesday and would like to start them all together.

Hey @SocialBee! Glad to hear you're taking 1Password for a spin! To fix your Master Password issue, could you give this knowledge base article a read and let us know if that helps?
I also put it on my iPhone 6+ as well and I have a new Mac desktop arriving this Wednesday and would like to start them all together.
Does the Master Password work on your iPhone? Or, have you set up sync to even get the data to your iPhone yet? If not, you can get that set up once we figure out the Master Password issue. ;)

Hey Penderworth, thank you for the suggestions but unfortunately nothing is working. I have not done anything with my phone and previous to this weekend I did not have installed on my phone only on my mac book. I have tried moving 1password app into the trash and rebooting, I have tried all the steps you outlined and I still can't even get it to let me make a new vault. I didn't really have any thing special in the old one so there is nothing to lose by starting over, just can't seep to get it to let me. HELP?!?! :(

As long as you don't mind losing whatever data you may have in the existing vault, starting fresh isn't too difficult. Here's a guide that will walk you through it.
How do I start over with an empty vault?

I have tried this several times and each time when I reopen it takes me to the master password window. It won't even let me try opening a new vault. Any suggestions?

@SocialBee: Indeed. From your original post and the followups, it sounds like you're running into this issue because you've used both the AgileBits Store version (for the trial) and the Mac App Store version (when you purchased it). Is that correct? If so, you'll need to follow the instructions to remove the data from both, which have to be in different locations due to App Store sandboxing. Otherwise when you remove one, the other is being picked up by the app after you reset. Does that help?
