You won't be able to just transfer the license from Windows to Mac, since 1Password is sold separately per platform and per individual. Your Windows license doesn't give you access to the Mac version. However, there is a Mac-Windows bundle sold by AgileBits from their web store. If you go to their web store (here), you will see this bundle listed at the top of the page. One of the buttons under it is for upgrades. Click on that and enter your Windows license code. You'll be shown a discounted price for the Mac version that should make your total outlay equal to the bundle price for the pair.
One more thing to know about buying directly from AgileBits is that iCloud will not be an option fory syncing your data among devices. Only applications sold by Apple from their own Mac App Store will be allowed access to the required protocol. This won't matter if you are keeping a Windows machine too, since Windows can't use iCloud either. But if you are switching to Mac and leaving Windows behind, this may become relevant if you have iOS devices to keep synchronized. (Android also cannot use iCloud, though.)
If you want the Mac App Store version, there isn't any way to receive discounted pricing, since Apple doesn't allow that either.

Hi @jenchalfan,
Hawkmoth's reply is spot-on, I hope that helped answer your question! You can find some more information here: What licenses do I need to use 1Password on all my devices?
One thing I wanted to clarify is that, since you already have a license for 1Password 4 for Windows, you don't need to purchase the Mac/Windows bundle license, because you already have a license for the Windows version. You just need a license for the Mac version. As Hawkmoth said, you can get a discount on that by entering your license code on this page.
If you have more questions or need anything else, we're always happy to help! :)

Thank you very much for your help.
I'm not too thrilled by the answer - it feels like having purchased this product (which I quite like!) on a PC, I shouldn't have to either settle for reduced functionality (no iCloud syncing) or buy the entire product again for the Mac. I will probably shell out for the Mac version from the App Store, because I do want iCloud syncing, but it leaves me feeling rather dissatisfied.

@jenchalfan - AgileBits isn't happy about that either. Blame Apple for this unfriendly decision.

Hi @jenchalfan,
I'm really sorry that we left you feeling dissatisfied. As @hawkmoth said... this is something we're not thrilled about either. We would much rather that there was no difference at all between the Mac App Store version of our app and our Agilebits Store version.
Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
Rick
