Upgraded my license, now what?

I just paid for an upgrade and received a new license. What do I do next to get the upgrade? Please send me instructions.

I am having a lot of issues with 1Password crashing and not syncing with Dropbox so a prompt reply would be appreciated.

    I'll assume you purchased your upgrade from 1Passwrod 3 to 1Password 5 from the AgileBits web store. If you have not already done so, you will need to download a copy of 1Password 5 from the Downloads site. You would install that, and it should automatically recognize your older data when you open it. Once you are satisfied that all of your data now resides in the new installation, just drag the 1Password 3 application to the trash and empty it.

    If I have misunderstood your question, please post back. For example, things may change if you bought a license from Apple on their Mac App Store.

    Hi @MaryIannotti,

    Hawkmoth is correct - 1Password 5 is a separate app from 1Password 3, so you need to download it separately. It should be able to find your data from 1Password 3 the first time you open it.

    Once you get things set up in 1Password 5, you can activate it with the license you purchased. You should have received an email from us after making your purchase from the AgileBits Store, and there will be a link in that email you can click in order to apply the license. It should be really easy, and you can find more information about that here: How do I add my license to 1Password?

    Thanks for your speedy replies @hawkmoth and @Drew_AG I downloaded 1Password5 and it's working well. All my data came through.
