There are

  • 50 .agilekeychain backup files in the 1Password folder and
  • 76 of the .1p4_zip backup files in the 1password4 folder.

**. The latest agilekeychain file is today. The latest .1p4_zip is yesterday.

1password folder is 494 MB; 1password 4 folder is 480 MB.

I do not have 1password 3 on the system. 1password 5 is the only 1p on my Mac. Activity Monitor shows 1password 5, 1password mini only.

Something seems wrong here. suggestions appreciated.

    Hi @stahlhut,

Thank you for the details and the screenshot! They really help us understand what you're seeing on your end.

First, the "1Password" folder stores data for version 3, and the "1Password 4" folder stores data for versions 4 and 5. From your description and screenshot, it looks like backups are still being made for your 1Password 3 data, which of course is no longer necessary if you have upgraded to 1Password 5. If you no longer have the 1Password 3 app on your Mac, you can disable the version 3 backups by deleting 1PasswordAgent, which is the old helper component from 1Password 3:

    1. From the Finder, go to the menu option for Go > Go to Folder...
    2. In the Go to the folder field that appears, copy and paste the following text and press Return: ~/Library/LaunchAgents
    3. Delete ws.agile.1PasswordAgent.plist
    4. Go back to the menu option for Go > Go to Folder…
    5. Copy and paste the following text and press Return: ~/Library/Application Support/1Password
    6. Delete the Agent folder
    7. Restart your Mac

Now, if you want, you can delete the "1Password" folder from Application support (you don't need to, but you can if you want to).

Hopefully this helps, but please let us know if you have any questions about that. Thanks!
