How to change master password?

HI,
My Mac broke down a couple days ago. Now I used an older backup from the time machine to get my data back. Unfortunately, I can now only restore my "old" Masterpassword (which I don't remember).
I use 1password on my iphone as well with my new masterpassword. I would also like to use this version on my mac, but currently I can only enter the OLD masterpassword and I am stuck.
Would be great if you can give me a hint how to solve it.

I'd be happy to help you out here, but in order to do so, I'll need to know a little bit more about your 1Password ecosystem:

• What is the version number of 1Password that you have installed? (Please include all relevant computers and devices)
• What is the version number of your operating system (for all computers and devices)?
• What are you using to keep things in sync?

It seems to me like we'll simply need to sync the data from your iOS device onto your Mac, but the more detail you can provide, the more quickly we'll be able to give you the instructions you need to get back on track! :)

Iphone 6: version 6.0.2

What is the version number of your operating system (for all computers and devices)?

Macbook - OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.3
Iphone 6 - iOS 9.1

What are you using to keep things in sync?

iCloud

Hey @steff0203! Thanks for posting all the numbers! :+1: You're running the latest versions of our apps, which is perfect. If your Master Password is still being accepted on your iPhone and all your data is in iCloud, all you need to do is start over on your Mac. This will remove all the data from your Mac so you can import it from iCloud. Here's our knowledge base article:

How do I start over with an empty vault?

Once you do that, follow this guide to set up 1Password again and import things from iCloud. Your Master Password should then be accepted properly, and your data should be up to date with the copy you have on your iPhone. If you have any questions at all, let us know! :)
