How to find login and password after using password generator
I tried password generator for a new site. A password was generated and I tried to copy it. I closed the site. I went to 1Pass logins, and the site was not there. Also, before recent changes to 1Pass, I could click 1Pass at the top of the screen and it would save the login name and password for a site I was visiting. It seems that I have to go through several steps now to find a password and login for a site.

Have you looked in the Passwords category? That is where 1P saves a generated password not associated with a specific saved login URL.

@llamalover: Indeed. Password items serve as a safety net for when you generate a password but don't save it to a Login item. I hope this helps. Let us know how it turns out! :)

I found the Passwords category in the 1Pass application and it worked. It would be nice if you could do this more quickly with the 1Pass icon at the top of the screen, but at least it's possible to input passwords manually. Thanks to Stephen_C and brenty for helping me!

Could you elaborate on exactly what you were trying to do? In your first message, you said you were using the password generator for a website, but I'm not sure if you were registering a new account on a website, changing your password for an existing website account, trying to save a new Login item, or trying to update an existing Login item with the new generated password. (Or something else?)
For example, if you had an existing account on a website, and an existing Login item for that site in 1Password, and you wanted to change your password for that site, it should work as described here: Changing a saved password
Similarly, if you were registering for a new account on a website, you should have been prompted by 1Password to save a new Login item once you submitted the form. Is the problem that you weren't asked to save or update a Login item?
