How about focusing the credit-card field (and easier selection of cards) in 1P mini?
When we invoke 1P mini from a browser's username or password field, 1P mini launches with suggested log-ins displayed and ready for selection. But when we invoke 1P mini from a browser's credit-card field, we aren't shown any relevant entries until we manually highlight the "Credit Cards" field.
(a) Would it be too much to ask, when invoking 1P mini from a credit-card field, that 1P mini open with "Credit Cards" already focused, so we could immediately see our cards? Then, we could simply mouse over to the desired one.
(b) Better yet, it'd be great if we could then simply type the corresponding, chronological numeral to auto-fill the fields with that card's info.
Respecting the minimal interface, we wouldn't even need to see the numerals. The shortcuts could "just work" when a corresponding numeral is typed. For example, say I have 3 credit cards:
Amex
Visa
Master Card
(a) When appropriate, 1P Mini would open with "Credit Cards" focused, so that we'd immediately see the three, available cards.
(b) Then, to select Visa, we could just hit "2" to have the form populated with that card's info.
If you believe numerals are important, they could be displayed to the right of the cards' names, just as keyboard shortcuts are displayed in Mac menus:
Amex 1
Visa 2
Master Card 3
(Since the tab key doesn't work in this form, I added spaces to align the numerals "flush right." But this form removes the spaces. Anyway, you get the idea.) :-)
These ideas make sense, no?

Hi @soundsgoodtome,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your suggestion! Although I can't make any promises about if or when we might add a feature like that, I can certainly forward your request to our developers.
Just to elaborate a bit on how 1Password is able to suggest Login items for a site, when you invoke 1Password mini, it looks for Login items that have the same URL as the website you're currently viewing. It doesn't actually matter if you have a certain field selected on that site, because in order to suggest a Login item, 1Password looks at the website address, not the web form fields. (For example, if you have a Login item for these support forums, you can open 1Password mini while reading this thread and it will suggest that Login item, even though there isn't a sign-in form on this specific page.)
Typically, a Login item is meant to be used on a specific site. But a Credit Card item is meant to be used on any site that asks you to fill in your credit card information, so it isn't tied to any particular URL. That's why 1Password mini doesn't suggest Credit Card items the same way it suggests Login items - it doesn't know that you want to fill a credit card form until you actually select a Credit Card item.
It might be possible for our developers to program 1Password to detect credit card forms on websites, and if so, mini could probably suggest Credit Card items. That would be very different than the way it currently works now though, so I imagine it would take a great deal of effort to add a feature like that. But we never say never, so perhaps our developers will be able to look into that!
For now, you might want to add some of your Credit Card items as Favorites in 1Password, so it's easier to find & select them in 1Password mini. Or you could start typing the name of a Credit Card item as soon as you open 1Password mini (focus is in the 'Search' field of 1Password mini by default).
I hope this helps, but if you need anything else, just let us know! :)

Hey, Drew_AG,
Thanks for the detailed reply. I really appreciate your taking the time to read my post and respond with this info.
Your explanation makes perfect sense and is exactly as I already understood to be the way 1P works. To clarify my suggestion, however, there's one detail that I might have made clearer: My suggestion was intended to apply to a scenario in which the user has already explicitly clicked within a credit-card field on a web page. Then, just as 1P already parses the page's URL for related log-in items, it could be made to look at the cursor location — and if the cursor's has been positioned in a credit-card field, 1P mini could behave accordingly and open with the Credit Cards field focused and with any available cards immediately visible.
That of course is exactly what you mentioned, regarding the possibility of your developers programming 1P to detect credit-card forms. However, as one with programming experience, I don't quite concur that it would take "a great deal of effort" to do so. :-)
Nevertheless, I thank you for being willing to pass the suggestion along.
I'm aware of, and I do use, the favorites feature. But accessing favorites still requires one to mouse down to the "Favorites" section, which is in essence no different than having to mouse down to the "Credit Cards" section. Still, I appreciate the suggestion.
It would simply be nice, once we've clicked in a credit-card field, to be able to select a credit card with fewer steps than are currently required.
Thanks again. I really appreciate the attention to detail with 1P's development, and I look forward to continued development.

Hi @soundsgoodtome,
Thanks for the clarification! You've obviously put some thought into your suggestion, and we truly appreciate that you've taken the time to share that with us. :) We're always listening to what our users would like and looking into ways to improve the 1Password experience. I think it would be helpful to have the 1Password extension suggest Credit Card items when it detects a credit card form on a website, and I'm sure other customers would find that very useful as well!
Aside from that, I hope you're enjoying 1Password. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you need anything else! :)
