Hi,

I have had my favorites organised in the past, but over the last week, all my favorites are in a random order. Why is this and how do I reorganise them to my liking again?

thanks in advance.

@patrickhamilton: I'm not sure how they could have changed order, but you can simply click and drag them to set them how you like. Did you change something on your computer (or another device that's syncing) recently? Please let me know! :)

It would really help to have a sort option in 1Password as I have experienced the same problem time and time again and manually re-arranging hundreds of passwords is to cumbersome. Please add Sort by Name, Sort by Frequency and also include Asc/Dsc options. :)
    Thanks!

@itsonlycomputers: Oh wow! Do you really have hundreds of Favorites? Hopefully we can add more sorting options in the future. I'd love to hear more about how you're using 1Password. Perhaps you mostly stay in Favorites, since you have so many there. :)

I provide IT services to a large number of clients. When performing IT system audits, I've found that 1Password works very well for managing/documenting their account information ie... Vendors, Network Info, Access Codes, Inventory, software licensing, web url's etc.... Anything that can be provided by 1password to assist in managing all of this info would be very helpful. Until now, I've been using it for myself, but in the future, I will create vaults for each client and provide a method to securely sync this information with them. That will allow both me and my clients to Add/Change and stay in sync by Computer/Mobile. Other helpful ideas I might suggest:

    1. Add more sorting options (Sort by name, frequency) in both desktop and mini
    2. Access to Folders from Mini (Just noticed my folders are gone, have these been removed?, If so, please bring back!!!!!!)
    3. Ability to Search and retrieve across multiple vaults.
    4. Ability to tag multiple items at once.
    5. Export to Excel with secure password
    6. Statistics on on Add/Change/Delete, Watchtower, Last Edited, Who Created etc......
    7. Multi-User Access (multiple logins) Full Access (Preferences, User Accounts, R/W Access), Read/Write (Can Add/change/delete items), Read Only (can only view items), Invisible (Not displayed for R/O users)
    8. Email notifications on add/change/delete
    9. On desktop, provide a dock method or window for 1pass so it's always visible (option for always on top). MAC 1st please.... :)

    Iphone/Android:
    1. I know next to nothing about the inter-workings of IOS, but it would sure be nice to be able to Auto-fill logins/passwords for apps outside of safari or 1password browser.
    2. Intregrate with IFTTT, Widgets from Orby, Launchbar, Launcher+ etc......, IOS Control Center, Spiceworks

I run a mixed environment of both MAC, PC and Mobile devices across multiple OS's, so integration, sync and management across all devices is critical.

I love 1password... Keep up the great work!
    David

    Hi @itsonlycomputers,

Thank you so much for letting us know how you use 1Password and for all the feedback & suggestions! :)

If the reason you have so many items in Favorites is because it includes items from all your different clients, then I think setting up multiple vaults will definitely help with that (i.e. each vault would have its own set of Favorites).

As for your suggestions, some of those (such as sorting Favorites) are feature requests that I can certainly forward to our developers. (Although I can't make any promises about if/when those features will be added.)

Some of your other requests are for features that are already in 1Password, or have been added in beta versions:

    2. Access to Folders from Mini (Just noticed my folders are gone, have these been removed?, If so, please bring back!!!!!!)

Folders haven't been removed from mini, so you should still see them there. However, if you're using the latest beta version of 1Password 5 for Mac, you might be in the new "All Vaults" view, which doesn't currently show folders. In that case, you can switch to a specific vault in order to see its folders in mini.

    3. Ability to Search and retrieve across multiple vaults.

There's a new "All Vaults" feature in the latest beta version of 1Password for Mac (which I mentioned above) which will do that.

    4. Ability to tag multiple items at once.

You'll be happy to know this is already possible! In the main 1Password app, just highlight multiple items and drag them to an existing Tag in the Sidebar.

    1. I know next to nothing about the inter-workings of IOS, but it would sure be nice to be able to Auto-fill logins/passwords for apps outside of safari or 1password browser.

Just to be clear, 1Password doesn't actually have an "auto-fill" feature on any platform - in other words, it will only fill your data when you explicitly tell it to do so (for example, by opening a website with a sign-in form and selecting a Login item from the 1Password extension).

But it sounds like you're asking about 1Password for iOS being able to fill your username/password into other apps. 1Password 5 and 6 for iOS include an iOS extension that supports Safari, but it works a bit differently in other apps. Developers of third party apps need to add support for the 1Password extension to their apps in order for it to work there (and many have already done so). We have more information about that here: How do I fill Logins into other apps on iOS?

Now, as far as some of your other requests are concerned (like those related to multiple users, permissions, and so on), it sounds like you might be interested in our upcoming 1Password for Teams service, which we just announced earlier this week: Introducing 1Password for Teams

If you need anything else, just let us know. :)

So getting back to my original question .... I cannot manually sort the favorites .... I have tried a number of times . When I try to move these around , they simplly return back to their original unsorted order. I really annoyed that this occurred without any action on my behalf, and you guys don't seem to have many anwsers with regard to this ..... what is going on , seriously !

    looking forward to your excuses.....

    Hello @patrickhamilton,

In your case we don't have enough information to start considering causes. When you say they return back to their original order is it instantly in front of your eyes or is it when you next open 1Password that they reset?

If it's the next time you open 1Password it might be the data in iCloud has become damaged and the alterations are being overrode be the damaged data. It's just a possibility.

If 1Password consistently reverts to the undesired when it's re-opened I would be interested in knowing if the behaviour remains after you disable syncing to iCloud. If it starts remembering the desired ordering this would support my theory and it might be all we need to do is delete the iCloud sync container and have 1Password create a new one. If it is happening instantly then this is unlikely to be the cause. This is why I feel we don't know enough just yet to say with confidence. With a little more luck a bit more detail will help clarify this.
