Not much detail to provide. I cant remember what my 1 password is and I can't remember the actual hint questions, so I can't I cant answer the questions. Is there is a way to change my one password and, if not, what do I do? Thanks.

You cannot change a master password without entering the older one. If you could, the security of the system would be compromised, so that's for your protection.

I assume that if you've only used 1Password once before, you don't have much data stored there. And if that is true, it shouldn't be a problem if all of those data are deleted. If those assumptions are correct, follow these directions: How do I start over with an empty vault?

If you are reluctant to just begin again, there are some tips you might try to see if you can prompt your memory about that forgotten password, here: I lost or forgot my Master Password. Help! You could give those a try, but if none of them work for you, you will have to start over, as described in that first link.

  • Hey @bertsquirt1! Was the info that hawkmoth posted able to help you out with this? There is no way to reset your Master Password if you've forgotten it — we can only help jog your memory. If you can't remember it, starting over is the best option. You can then reset your passwords individually through the respective websites and add them back to 1Password as you go. Let us know if that helps!
