We're trying to buy a license for the version 4 for Mac, but cannot find a way to do it.

We found a license for the Windows version, and a license for Version 5 - but what about Version 4 for Mac??

    The 1P5 licence also licenses 1P4 (the upgrade from 1P4 to 1P5 was free).

    The licence for version 5 works for version 4. If you don't actually have version 4 at present, it can be downloaded from the Legacy section towards the bottom of the Downloads page.

    @thedetechtives: That's correct! Just download 1Password 4 and use your 1Password 5 license there. Be sure to let us know if you have any other questions! :)
