Upgrading from 1Password 3 to 5 on multiple computers

I found the how-to article - https://support.1password.com/upgrade-mac/ - but still have a question.

1) I sync 1Password using dropbox between my work mac and my home mac. Do I need to follow the uninstall steps on both macs before I upgrade to version 5 on one of the macs? I don’t want the password data to mess up if I upgrade and then go to the other machine and have the older version still running on it. I want to get all of my ducks in a row before I buy the upgrade from 3 to 5.

2) All of the password data should translate from 3 to 5 without issue correct?

1Password Version: 3.8.22
Extension Version: 3.9.20
OS Version: 10.10.5
Sync Type: dropbox

@LonnieB: 1) It shouldn't make a difference, as both 1Password 3 and 5 can read the same vault. You're only changing the app; the vault will stay the same. Just backup your data first. You can never be too careful! 2) Yep! So long as you'll be using 1Password 5 on both Macs going forward, you won't have any issues. It will be just like any other app update. I hope this helps! :)
