    It would be very helpful if you tell us some basic information, Please tell us:

    However, in the meantime you could try this:

    1. Drag the 1P app to the trash (don't use any app cleaner tool, which is likely to try to delete files you need to keep).
    2. Empty the trash and reboot.
    3. Re-download and re-install 1P.

    So long as you follow those instructions that will not affect your 1P data. Note you should download from the place you originally bought 1P (the Mac App Store or the AgileBits store).

    If that doesn't work we need the information I've requested in order to give you more help.

    @Elizabeth Turner Vines: Indeed, no need to pay unless you need a newer license. The 1Password app itself is always a free download, so you can just Trash the damaged copy and grab a fresh one — no charge! Please let us know what you find. We're here for you! :)
