Using ipassword4 for Mac on OS 8.5. To update to El Cap what to do for iPassword?

I'd like to continue to use the software in the new OS. I don't know the sequence of events. at what stage to upgrade to ipassword 5? How to migrate the older pw data to the upgraded app? 1Password 4

    Hello @danmines33,

    Here is what I would recommend.

    1. Use something like SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner to make a complete clone of your drive before you start. That way you have a backup that you can always return to.
    2. Install El Capitan.
    3. Launch 1Password 4 and use the menu option 1Password > Check for Updates....

    That should be all you need to do as far as 1Password goes. If you prefer you can drag the 1Password application from your /Applications/ folder to the Trash and download a fresh copy of 1Password 5 from our AgileBits Download page and place that in the /Applications/ folder. It uses the exact same files in the same location as 1Password 4 so it will simply pick up where 1Password 4 left off :smile:
