Master password not working on new iCloud ID

My wife and I have shared an iCloud account for a number of years, but she decided that she needs her own. We created a new iCloud account, which meant that we could no longer sync our 1Password data with iCloud. I changed the sync from iCloud to Dropbox, since we share a Dropbox account. I set up a new user for her on our iMac using her new iCloud ID, and installed Dropbox for that ID so that she would have access to our 1Password data. I then opened 1Password to point it to the correct Dropbox folder, but it is not accepting the master password that we have always used. We are within our license, as there are only 4 of us in the household using 1Password. I don't understand why the master password will not work for this user ID on our Mac as it works on our other user account and across our iOS devices. Do I need to set a new master password on the new user ID? It looks like that will prompt creation of a new vault, and I don't want to do that since we need to share our password information. Any help would be appreciated.

    Never mind. I closed 1Password, reopened it, tried it again, and it worked. Figures.
