Hi @Peter_Sanderson,
Sorry to hear about the slow death, I have no doubt rebuilding an entire machine just to how you like it will be quite the task.
Based on the version number of Safari it seems you're running the AgileBits Store version of 1Password 5 for Mac. Can we learn a little about your iOS devices please where I'm hoping you have a full copy of your vault. I'd like to know the following if possible
- What version of 1Password for iOS are you running?
- Are either of your iOS devices showing as set up for syncing?
Another thing worth checking is to see if you have more than one Agile Keychain in your Dropbox folder. if you search on the text
.agilekeychain
OS X should offer the option of Name matches like the screenshot below. This should show how many Agile Keychains are in your Dropbox folder if you search just it and it might be we find there are two. If there are two we might have found why they seem to differ.Whatever happens, as long as your iOS devices have the proper vault we can get things working so don't worry!

Thanks your response. I am using IOS Version 6.4.1 and both my phone (iPhone 6) and iPad mini are set up for syncing. Both these devices are upto date and identical.
As you noted my iMac is probably syncing with an older file.
Will investigate and get back to you.
Your help and advice is much appreciated.

Hi @Peter_Sanderson,
To help a bit this is how to tell where the various instances of 1Password are syncing to.
- 1Password for Mac. Open 1Password's preferences and switch to the Sync tab. Just above where it says when you last synced you should see a path to the sync container it is using.
- 1Password for iOS. In 1Password for iOS go to Settings > Sync > Sync Service. Near the top, just below where it will say Dropbox there will also be a path.
Let's say my Agile Keychain was stored in the following folder in my Dropbox account
/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain
.- In 1Password for Mac it would show as
LittleBobbyTables ► Dropbox ► 1Password ► 1Password.agilekeychain
- In 1Password for iOS it would show as
/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain
So if both the paths match up after accounting for the differences in style then we know they're referring to the same Agile Keychain. My suspicion is you fill find they differ which in a way would be good, it would be a nice clear cause and easy to solve
If this is the case then the following will work.
- Follow our How do I start over with an empty vault? guide on your Mac.
- When you next start 1Password for Mac you should be able to choose which Agile Keychain to use. If it doesn't seem to offer you a choice does the following screenshot look like what you're seeing?
If it is click the part I've underlined to get the following menu
From here you will either be able to see the real Agile Keychain or at least be able to use the Find another... menu option. This will hopefully get everything synced up properly  Please do let us know how it goes.
