Straight import from Lastpass using CSV fails, so does import using MRC's utility [SOLVED]
I tried 1Password on several platforms and browsers, it looks perfect- but I can't import my Lastpass data. I am a first time user, so maybe its just me? Hope someone can help.
CSV created by Lastpass imported OK in 1Password (so it said), but the result is not usable:
The login entry fields seem to be in the wrong order:
name (?) http://www.123....
username: lastpass password
password: ....(can't read)
website: lastpass login-name
field 6: lastpass note
field 7: 0
notes: lastpass url
So, I tried MRC's utility, but it does not recognise the column names in the CSV:
Mac-6c40089b0618:convert_to_1p4 Edwin$ cd '/Users/Edwin/Desktop/convert_to_1p4/' && /usr/bin/perl5.16 convert_to_1p4.pl csv '/Volumes/G-TM Backup/backups special/Lastpass2015-11-09-1126 copyedited.csv' -v
CSV column names do not match expected names
The CSV columns and one login site are as follows (copied from CSV file):
url,username,password,extra,name,grouping,fav
http://www.4launch.nl/shop/,username,password,,4launch.nl,shops NL,0
I could edit the CSV to comply with MRC's rules, but what are the correct columns and their names?
Grateful for any suggestions, E

Hi @eh45,
I'm sorry you've been having trouble importing your data into 1Password!
It sounds like you first tried the steps here: Import data from LastPass into 1Password
If that didn't work, MrC's converter should help, but it sounds like you had difficulty with that as well. In case you haven't seen it, I wonder if the following topic will help: MrC's Convert to 1Password Utility
I'm sure @MrC will be happy to help if you're still having a problem with that, and I've pinged him here so he'll see this. He's normally around quite often, so hopefully you'll hear back from him soon. :)

There are a number of issues with how LastPass exports data. Please review the LastPass section in the README document for the details. I suspect this is an issue with how the export CSV file was created.
Can you describe how you exported your Lastpass data, exactly? (Browser, method of export, ...).
Also, which platform did you export on? Was it the same Mac you converted on?

That was quick! Many thanks to you both.
Problem solved:
I redid the steps exactly using Safari/OSX, but now in step 4 (converter) I selected the Lastpass converter (and not the CSV converter), and all is OK now. (Having a CSV converter near the top of the list confused me the first time round).
Many thanks again :-), E0
