Moving items from Trash to a new vault
I finally decided to create a new vault in which to archive my old logins which I have been leaving in Trash. After creating the new vault, I selected the items in Trash, and followed the 1Password User Guide directions to move them to the new vault. Nothing happened. I tried moving a single item. Nothing happened. Is it not possible to move items from trash to a new vault?

Thanks for the quick response. Although that makes sense, it will be a real pain since I have 195 items in trash!!!! Should have done this a long time ago.

@johncp Ah, if you have that many items it will definitely be a bit more difficult. Unfortunately, that's the only way to do it. The Trash is usually meant to be there if you need to recover something after a bit of time has passed. If you leave that many items in there, getting them out in bulk is a task. You can always set a keyboard shortcut to make it a bit faster. Open System Preferences and click the Keyboard pane, then select Shortcuts. Click the App Shortcuts section and click
+
. Select 1Password from the Application dropdown and for the menu title, writeRestore from Trash
. That's case-sensitive, so you'll want to double-check it or copy and paste it. Then assign a shortcut that works best for you, like⌘ R
. It just can't be a duplicate with something else in the app. That should get things spinning a bit faster! :) Hope it goes well.

Thanks again. I'll give that a try.
