Upgrading a second computer MAC (AIR) to 1password5

Well here goes.... I currently use (and Love!!) 1 password 5 on my MACBook PRO w/El Capitan. Works flawlessly!! Have had several previous versions before the "5". My wife who uses a MACBOOK AIR (also w/El Capitan) would like very much to upgrade to 1 password 5 but we're not sure how to do that. (I can't remember how I managed it.!! All I can remember is that it had a lot to do with licenses.) Must have been with a lot of help from you folks !!! She is currently using 1 Password 3 ver 3.8.22. I can see her License Certificate but I'm not sure you need that. Hope this is enough info for you to help. We are both on the "senior" side (I'm 76) and as such some of this stuff can get a bit confusing.... but we are trying to keep our head above water. Thank you in advance. Ray A

    Hi @rayuss,

I'm very happy to hear you love 1Password! :)

It should be fairly easy for your wife to upgrade from 1Password 3 to 1Password 5. They're installed separately, so the first thing she'll need to do is download 1Password 5 from our download site. Then unzip the downloaded file (if necessary) and move the 1Password 5.app file to the Applications folder. Double-click on that to open 1Password 5, and it should find her 1Password 3 data. If for any reason that doesn't work as expected, just let us know what happens.

She'll also need to activate 1Password 5 with your license file. I found your license for 1Password 5 in our system and resent it to your email - you can simply forward that email to your wife.

Please let us know how it goes, and if you or your wife have any trouble, we'll continue from there. Thanks! :)
