I opened the app today, version 5.4 and got a message from what looked like app store that the app was not purchased for this computer, enter apple id and password that was used when purchased. I am on the same computer, but entered my apple id password anyway, then it opened, but not working, and i now have message that "1Password" is damaged and can't be opened. Delete "1Password" and download it again from the App Store. It is opened, and I can see my 115 entries. I also run on iphone and 2 ipads. I am not sure what is going on but do not want to delete anything. I have way too much info to risk here. Please help me.

  • Hi @lesliep,

Thank you for getting in touch with us about this! The error you're seeing is related to a certificate issue affecting several App Store apps at the moment. It is not a bug with 1Password and your data is 100% safe, despite the scary messages!

Please try the following to see if it helps:

    1. Reboot your Mac.
    2. If you are still getting errors, sign out of the Mac App Store (open the App Store from the Apple menu, and then select Store > Sign Out from the menu bar), try launching 1Password again, and if prompted enter your Apple ID credentials.

    Cheers,
    -Mitch
