I can't answer your question about security. But if you are planning to use Kasperksy Password Manager, be sure you're able to get your data back out. Otherwise, should you decide to use another password manager in the future, you're in for a world of hurt.

Cons
No import/export or backup/restore. No automatic fill-in of application passwords. No two-factor authentication. No secure sharing of logins. Form-filling is Mac-only until Windows edition gets fixed.0 -
@Dgrant: I wasn't able to find any details on the security that it provides on their site, so your guess is as good as mine when it comes to comparing it to 1Password: it's not a known quantity. They may use the same encryption and a similar model to 1Password, but there's imply no way to know. However, I can tell you that 1Password...
- uses a publicly documented data format, which
- relies on industry standard encryption to protect your data, rather than 'security by obscurity'
- using your Master Password as the key to protect your data, and
- strengthens your Master Password against brute force attacks using PBKDF2;
- you can also learn more details on exactly how 1Password works from our extensive knowledgebase.
You'll need to contact Kaspersky directly for information about their software, but we're happy to answer any questions you have about ours! :)
