1Password quit unexpected

in 1Password 3 – 7 for Mac

When I go into 1Password and try any login or try to edit a login entry, I get an error message "1Password quit unexpected". Any suggestions to fix? Basically, it is now unusable. First time in many years of usage. Should I delete the program on my MacBook Air, reinstall and use my Dropbox sync file to recover data?
