  • Hi @kings121,

You're buying a license for the major 1Password version for the OS platform, you get all free updates for that version forever. So, if you're buying a license for 1Password 4 for Windows, that's what you keep forever with free updates for that version and it'll work forever as long as you're using the same OS and browser versions that we can support in 1Password 4 for Windows.

However, if we release a new major version like 1Password 5 for Windows, you may have to pay an upgrade fee if you want to get the new features in that version. If you have no needs for the new version, than you can keep using the version you have on supported OS and browser versions as well if you're using the browser extensions. For future OS and browser versions, you may have to upgrade to get the support for them.

also can I access my info from a different computer from the one 1Password is installed on or on my mobile phone??

Yes, you can sync your 1Password data between computers and your mobile devices, the latter is dependent on what OS you're using on the phone. We support Android and iOS but we're working on Windows 10 Mobile as well.

For iOS and Android, you can sync either via Dropbox or Wi-Fi. You can see more information here; https://support.1password.com/sync-options/

For computers, you can sync it with any sync tool you may already be using between computers but we would recommend Dropbox for smooth effortless sync between computers and mobile devices. If you choose your own sync option, you cannot use it on the mobile devices that's restricted to Dropbox and Wi-Fi only.

If you want to sync between your iOS device and your Windows PC, use this guide to get started: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-windows/4/en/topic/getting-1password-data-from-ios

Note you don't have to buy 1Password right off the bat on your PC, you can download the free 30-day trial here: http://agilebits.com/downloads and test the sync between your PC and iOS. If you like it, buy the license at our store here: http://agilebits.com/store
