Help! Gmail/Google changes broke things again. Windows 10, 1Password 4.
The 1st Gmail pg. asks for only the email address, then has a "Next" button. That takes me to a second pg., where it asks only for my password, then has a "Sign in" button. How do I configure 1Password to deal with this automatically? I'd even settle for 2 separate 1Password entries, but I just cannot figure it out. Thanks in advance.

@philm: Just to make sure we're on the same page, 1Password will never log you in automatically. It just isn't designed to do that, for a number of reasons.
That said, I feel you pain. Google logins have gone from being very easy to deal with to a bit of a confusing mess, and I don't think this is limited to 1Password users. I've made some progress on this myself, but so far there doesn't seem to be a clear solution. I can, however, offer you some tips from my own experience:
- Try using this URL for your Login item: https://accounts.google.com/AddSession?sacu=1&continue=https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/&osid=1&service=mail&ss=1&ltmpl=default&rm=false#identifier
- Use the keyboard shortcut to fill/submit:
⌘ \ - Experiment with different URLs to find the results you're looking for
I've found that the 'add session' URL above allows me to have 1Password fill and submit the username with the keyboard shortcut the first time, and then the password with the keyboard shortcut again (on the second page) — and then I'm taken directly to Gmail. This is useful to me because I have several Google accounts, and I don't necessarily always want to end up at the page you describe, asking for my password with the username already set. That's all well and good if it happens to be the one I'm trying to log into, but it means another few clicks otherwise.
Another option is to have a unique URL for each separate account. For example:
https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=mail&sacu=1&passive=1209600&acui=4#Email=username%40domain.comWith the correct username substituted for each account, this will preselect that username and prompt only for the password, and take you into Gmail once you fill it. There are probably different
service=arguments as well, but I haven't explored this extensively since I typically go to Gmail if I'm logging in 'cold' (i.e. opening from 1Password, rather than being prompted to login at a page I'm already on).I hope this helps. @Brenty: Thanks for the tip. I did something slightly different; it was your mention of having multiple gmail accounts that made me think of it. I have multiple accts. as well, so I decided to see if any of them worked the way I wanted, i.e. entered the email address on the first screen and the password on the second screen. They all worked except for this new one, so I just went into 1Password, duplicated one of them, then changed the email and password to the new account, and that worked. This was what was in the "address" field:

@philm: Very cool! Thanks for sharing that. I'll add it to my own arsenal. Indeed, while the Google login process is rather convoluted now, one benefit is that if you can find a URL that gets you the results you're looking for (and that's a big "if"), it can be a huge time saver. Here's hoping they let us use our existing saved Logins for a long time to come! :lol:
