Firefox 43 is now available as a 32bit and a 64bit variant. How compatible is 1Password with a 64bit browser now that 64bit is officially supported?

There was a discussion about 64bit browsers some time ago but Firefox wasn't 64bit then.

    Hi @wkleem,

The short answer is yes and I've tested it extensively, it works as it does in 32-bit version of Firefox.

Firefox has been available as a 64-bit version on Mac and Linux for a while and since the 1Password extensions are the same for all browsers on all platforms, it is already ready for the 64-bit version of Firefox on Windows with no changes required on our part.

We're not directly integrating with Firefox, we're communicating with the 1Password extension itself via a local websocket port, so that means 1Password as the program does not need to be updated. The extension itself complies with the APIs in the browser and they do not break changes unless they need to but they usually provide warnings in advance. For now, the extensions do not have to do anything for 64-bit related stuff.
