@Dknight54: Indeed, if 1Password is not already unlocked, you'll need to enter your Master Password before you can access your data there. If you setup 1Password Preferences > Security the way you want, you can minimize the app to the notification area and you'll only have to unlock the browser extension when the app itself is locked. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions! :)

I guess I didn't do a very good job of explaining my situation.
1-I go to a site that has a password, say my bank, I type in my 1Password master password in the 1Password Chrome extension
2-I have to manually find the site from my list (1Password used to automatically bring this up)
3-Click on the site in my master password list and 1Password, instead of filling in the password opens up a 2nd browser with the password filled in. It used to just fill in the password on the browser I was viewing.
    What's up???????

  • If 1Password doesn't present you with the item for the site you're on once you've unlocked your vault in the Chrome extension, then 1Password doesn't recognise the URL of the site you've visited. There can be a number of reasons for this.

Have you maybe saved the item in 1Password with https://… and the site you're visiting begins with http://…?
1Password won't fill your information on sites that are not encrypted by default.

Nope. The saved item (bank account) has both the https:// in the master password list as well as the site url address

@Dknight54: Hmm. Do you perhaps simply have 1Password configured to open a new window to fill a login?

Alternatively, is it opening up a completely different browser (for example, you have Chrome open, and then Internet Explorer opens as well)? It may be that there's an issue with the browser settings in Windows.

Let me know what you find. I look forward to hearing back from you! :)
