1Password for Windows didn't save password history

I was trying to change my password in one of the websites that I am registered with and I was already used to the routine that editing the password entries and having 1Password generate a new password would then save the old password as history.

In this particular case, after I have saved the generated password, the previous password didn't appear in the password history portion at the bottom of the window.

Has anyone experienced the same problem or if maybe this has been identified as a glitch in 1Password? I do have 1Password for Mac that I use at home and it worked well in saving password history. Unfortunately, my office runs in Windows so I use 1Password for Win version is 1.0.6.202.

I'm just bringing this up just to let the tech support know of the problem.

Hey there, BigVinz! Welcome to the forums! :)

I feel your pain. Windows can be both a blessing and a curse, depending on the context. I am sorry to have kept you waiting, but I wanted to make sure I got some rest before I tested this and responded. I do some strange things when I am overtired! :P

Anyway, I decided that now was as good a time as any to change my Battle.net account password, so I gave it a shot. Mind you, I did this using Windows 7, 1Password 2.0.6.203, and Internet Explorer 9. If your setup differs, just let me know (and be sure to mention the site as well) and we can see if that makes a difference at all.

At any rate, it worked fine in my case. I have my old password listed under Password History now. On the other hand, 1Password/IE9 seems to have some issues with the Battle.net site itself, but unless you happen to have an account there as well, I don't suppose that matters in your case.

Please let me know more about your setup so we can see if there is something that needs fixing. The more detail, the better. I look forward to hearing back from you. :)

You're not saying what web browser you're using. I assuming Firefox, and here's what I did:
    1. navigate to gmail.com
    2. enter username and password, click "Sign In"
    3. 1Password auto-save prompt appears. Click "Save"
    4. Sign out of gmail
    5. enter another username and password (different from step #2). Click "Sign In"
    6. 1Password auto-save prompt appears. Select "Google" from the drop-down labelled "replace saved login". Click "Save".

Now launch the stand-alone 1Password program. Find the "Google" login item. Result: it does have a "Password History" section, and it contains the (old) password from step #2.

In other words: it seems 1Password does update the "Password History", and I cannot seem to reproduce your problem.
