2 computers one dropbox account, need to share all paswords

We have 2 computers, and one dropbox account. the computers are in the same room. Computer A has 1Password installed and works great. Computer B has the program installed but we do not know how to link computer A to computer B so both computers can share all the passwords. We also purchased two seats for the license. Thanks for the help.

  • Hi @shirtprinting4u,

If both computers have Dropbox installed, logged into the same Dropbox.com account, and is syncing, opening 1Password on PC B should be all you need to do. 1Password will scan your Dropbox folder to find your vault and if it does, it will prompt you if you want to use it.

If you're not sure how to move the 1Password vault to your Dropbox folder, here's how:

    1. Open 1Password on PC A, unlock, and go to the File Menu > Preferences > General.
    2. Click on the Move to Dropbox and wait for Dropbox to finish its sync on PC A and B
    3. Now, open 1Password on PC B, it should detect the new vault in your Dropbox folder and if not, you can go to the File Menu > Open 1Password Vault to open the 1Password vault in your Dropbox. If you repeat Step 1 to head to 1Password's General preferences, you'll find the data path to your 1Password vault in Dropbox.

Let me know if that helps.
