"Save new Login" doesn't work on Windows/SimpleTax

Hi there,

I just started using 1password on Windows yesterday and I'm trying to use the "Save a new Login" feature since the auto-detect didn't work.

The website I'm trying to save is:
https://app.simpletax.ca/2015/

Simpletax opens a popup window to login, I enter my login information, then I click the 1password dragdown to "Save a new Login". But when I click it, nothing pops up? And it doesn't seem to save into my vault.

Am I doing something wrong?

  • Hi @PoweredByPho,

It's the weird way they designed the site, it doesn't look like a login form to 1Password, so it doesn't see that you're trying to save a Login item. I've filed a bug report and we'll see if we can find a workaround for this site.

For now, here's what you can do:

    1. Open the main 1Password app, unlock, and click on New Item > Login
    2. Enter your details along with the URL and save it
    3. Edit the Login and enable the Use Auto-Type in web browser feature.

Now, bring up SimpleTax's Login form, focus the username by clicking into it and then press Control + \, it should work.
