When I try to edit an existing note or password that area creates a white box?
The white box covers up what I am trying to edit, making it almost impossible to change.

@FraserF1 - Since you report that you are using version 3.8.22 on OS X 10.11.2, you will want to read this sticky thread at the top of the 1Password 3 section of the forum. In short, you are seeing what other users also see with this combination. Changes in OS X since the time 1Password 3 saw any developer attention have finally rendered the legacy version difficult or impossible to use.
