I cannot type in the fields - the type disappears and field is white...can't see what I'm typing.

When I create a new entry or try to edit one, when I put the cursor in the field the information disappears and the field is white. When I type I see nothing, but when I save then I can see what I've done. It's of course impossible to edit or add info when you can't see it. This is very frustrating.
