Download PC version and make sure MAC version running properly (cannot see in Applications folder)

I purchased a combined mac and pc bundle. Can you please call me so I can figure out how to install the PC version on my husbands computer? I don't want to change our email password until I know he can access the vault. Also, if I've actually installed 1Password on my MAC properly, then why don't I see it in my applications folder? I was able to make a vault and change some passwords.

  • Hi @vicky,

Regarding the Mac version, you likely unzipped the download and ran it from your Downloads folder. Look for 1Password 6 in your Downloads folder. If you see it there, move it to the Applications folder. I will move the post to the Windows forum, so that they may answer your question on how to install it on Windows.

    Cheers,
    Kevin

  • Hi @Vicky,

You can find the 1Password for Windows version to download here: https://agilebits.com/downloads

By the way, we do not host your data nor have a copy of it anywhere, all of your 1Password data is stored locally and is not automatically sync'ed to your other computers without your intervention first. Your 1Password data is not linked against your email account, it is protected in an encrypted file on your drive.

If you want your husband to have access to your 1Password data, you would need to share the folder with him. The best way to do that is to use Dropbox to sync the same folder between both computers. Here's how this works: https://support.1password.com/choose-sharing/

We're here to help, so let us know what we can do to help.
