Question about security windows client
Hello everyone,
i was ready to buy and i was reading articles on your website then i read this
Section
How strong is 1Password’s encryption?
Then i read this
Section
The buzzword-compliant answer
So my question is you use different encryption standard for WIN or both WIN MAC are the same. First article says 128 bit the second 256.
Waiting for your reply because i am confused and would love to know before i buy the full package.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @db_ex,
Thank you for your interest in 1Password.
The answer in this case is fairly straight forward: The first article refers to the AgileKeychain format that has been the standard in 1Password for a couple of years.
The second article refers to the OPVault format which is newer and more secure in various aspects. By default all versions of 1Password will use the OPVault format but please understand that both formats are secure, otherwise we wouldn't leave the option to use the older format in our app.More important than the choice of the vault format, is the use of a strong master password. One of our security experts, Jeff Goldberg, wrote a good blog artilce about this that I recommend you read: Toward Better Master Passwords
I hope this helps. Let us know if there's more information you require.
