The addon could not be downloaded because of a connection failure. [Caused by ESET]

Windows 10, Firefox version 45.0, ESET Smart Security. When I attempt to install the browser extension for Firefox, I get the message in the title. I have successfully installed the extension to Google Chrome.

This is caused by ESET's security feature, SSL/TLS filtering. You can read how to work around this issue in this comment by the ESET customer.
