  • Interesting, @Killjoy.

Which anti-malware software are you using? We've had instances in the past where these applications prevented access to our website.
You can also go directly to the Chrome Web Store and download it there.

    Thanks!

@Killjoy: I'm not able to reproduce this here at all. Can you tell me which version of Chrome you're using? Unless you're behind and there's an update pending, I doubt that's the problem, but better to be sure.

My experience has been the same as Alex's, and Google's support site suggests the same:

    "Network failed" error
If you see an error message that says “NETWORK_FAILED” when you try to install an app, extension, or theme from Chrome Web Store on Windows, it’s possible that third-party software on your machine is blocking the installation.
To fix the error, first remove the third-party software. Then try to install the app, extension, or theme again.
If you still can't install the app, extension, or theme, re-install Chrome.

It may be some other software, malware, or a problem with the certificate store. Almost across the board in each of these cases, the problem is that a secure connection cannot be established to download it. You can try downloading the file using another browser and then install it manually, but I'd say it's more important that you determine what's causing the issue on your system in the first place. Please let me know what you find!
